LAUREN

This is Lauren (left) on May 18, just two days after she was born. She weighs less than 1 lb 10 oz here. And here is Lauren again (above) on September 5 at 3 1/2 months old. She weighs about 7 1/2 lbs, so has gained over 6 lbs from the previous picture.

Connie and Justine at left on July 12. Justine is 2 months old and has been home from the hospital one day. Connie holds Justine again above on September 5 when Justine is 3 1/2 months. They are at Todd and Stephanie's house for dinner.

JUSTINE

Justine Marie as she looked on May 17 when she was one day old and 11 weeks early at 2 lbs 9 oz, and Justine Marie on November 4 at 5 1/2 months old weighing 13 lbs 5 oz. Justine gained almost 11 lbs in 5 1/2 months. She's done so well and is perfectly adorable!

LAUREN

Through the miracle of modern medicine, tiny 1 lb 13 oz Lauren Ann went from what she looked like on May 17 the day after she was born 11 weeks early to what she looked like on November 1 at 9 lbs 11 oz, 5 1/2 months and 8 lbs later. Isn't Lauren the sweetest little baby girl?

JUSTINE and LAUREN

I felt compelled to do a "comparison" blog album of my twin baby granddaughters who were born 11 weeks early on May 16, 2005. The fact that in today's world a tiny baby like Lauren Ann, who was born weighing 1 lb 13 oz and dropped a few ounces to 1 lb 9 oz, can still thrive and grow into a beautiful bouncing baby girl, normal in every way, is nothing short of astounding! Lauren's twin sister, Justine Marie, was an equally amazing story. Justine weighed 2 lb 9 oz at birth, dropping a few ounces also. She, however, gained weight almost immediately and continued to grow to 13 lb 5 oz on November 2, 2005, a mere 5 1/2 months later.
